The most exciting summer reading program is back!


Starts on July 7th and will run until September 1st, you can adventure and read at your own pace. Part reading program, part scavenger hunt– the most fun reading you’ll have all year.

Mundy Park (Coquitlam)
After wandering through the park, bring a toonie and enjoy a swim. The Mundy pool is a blast with a lazy river and a climbing structures. Pool hours are 9:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. weekdays, and 11:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on weekends.

Deer Lake Park (Burnaby)
There is much to do at Deer Lake Park, stroll peaceful trails, watch for herons and turtles, or simply relax by the water. From Tuesday through Sunday (11:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.), enjoy free admission to Burnaby Village Museum. Before you leave, don’t miss a spin on the beautifully restored carousel for just $2.71.

John Lawson Park (West Vancouver)
Bring your sand buckets, and swimsuits. Kids can climb aboard the pirate ship playground before racing through the splash pad (11:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m.). Beachcomber’s will be delighted to wander the shoreline in search of shells, sea glass, and tiny beach treasures.

Pier Park (New Westminster)
This waterfront park is packed with ways to play. Climb the towers, enjoy the swing, shoot some hoops, or simply stretch out with a good book on one of the chaise lounges overlooking the river.Cool down by breezing through the water misters.

Queen Elizabeth Park (Vancouver)
One of Vancouver’s most beautiful parks, Queen Elizabeth Park is full of hidden gems. Wander the free Quarry Gardens, where winding paved paths lead through flowers, rock formations, and a magical waterfall. Keep an eye out for the sculptures Knife Edge and Photo Session, make sure to snap a pic and share it with us. #GOAR2026

Granville Island (Vancouver)
Let the kids cool off at the free water park, famous for its giant slide (open 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.). Roll down the grassy hills, explore the playground. Head into the Kids Market for a little indoor fun or grab a treat from the Public Market.
